Aishihik-Kluane Epithermal Gold Project |
|

Solomon Resources is undertaking an exploration program in the Southwestern Yukon Territory for epithermal gold-silver deposits hosted in Triassic Nikolia volcanics and Chitistone limestone with secondary base metal targets in Permo-Triassic rocks of the Taku-Skolai (Wrangellian) Terrane.
Exploration targets have been identified in the project area, and economic and geological screens were applied to potential deposit types in the Mt. St. Elias, Dezadeah, Kluane Lake, Aishihik Lake, Snag and Carmacks map sheets.

Potential also exists in the project area for porphyry copper-molybdenum deposits, Minto-type copper, stratbound lead-silver in the Nasina Quartzite, nickel-copper sulphides and volcanogenic copper of the Cyprus type in obducted ophiolite terrains and Besshi-type copper in the Whitehorse Trough.

Solomon has acquired an extensive database of regional geological and geochemical information and staff geologists are compiling historical data with current exploration knowledge to direct the ongoing program of exploration.

Solomon President Randy Rogers has extensive exploration experience in the Yukon Territory and has pooled his expertise to design a comprehensive exploration program.
