Solomon Closes Unit and 'Flow-Through' Unit Private Placement PDF Print E-mail

Armstrong, B.C. – Wednesday, May 19th, 2010. Solomon Resources Limited (SRB: TSX-V) has closed its Unit and "Flow through" Unit Private Placement announced on January 27th 2010 and March 31st 2010. As previously announced, the first tranche of the private placement was closed by issuing 479,000 units at CAD ($) 0.25 per unit on April 14th 2010 for proceeds of $119,750 and 2,135,711 "flow-through" units at CAD ($) 0.28 per unit on April 23rd 2010 for proceeds of $598,000. Subscriptions received subsequent to the first tranche will be returned to subscribers.

"Our decision to close the private placement at this time was made in the light of the downturn in the stock prices of junior exploration companies, ourselves included, as a result of the market collapse of May 6th and subsequent institutional selling of our stock" said President and CEO Randy Rogers.

As the proceeds of this placement fall short of target, priority will be given to the exploration and development of Solomon's Yukon properties and essential corporate overhead. "Once we see a return to stability and normal conditions we will reconsider our financing requirements," said Rogers. "In the meantime we will concentrate on those areas where we see the greatest chance of enhanced shareholder value."
