| Solomon 2007 Exploration Update |
Vancouver, Canada, June 4, 2007 Solomon Resources Ltd. (SRB: TSX-V) is pleased to provide the following update on exploration activities on its uranium projects in Mongolia, the new Nook & Rook claims in central BC, the Bowron Basin Coal Project; and the Ontario VMS project. BRITISH COLUMBIA COL-Magnet Property
Solomon is please to announce that the 1,447 line-kilometre Fugro airborne EM Resistivity and Magnetic survey planned for the COL-Magnet copper-gold property is being flown more than a month ahead of schedule and will now commence the week of June 4, 2007 (previously announced May 23, 2007). The airborne survey is being done in cooperation with surveys for Serengeti Resources Inc. and Lysander Minerals Corp. The earlier date will mean that valuable airborne EM and magnetic data will be available much sooner to assist the efforts of Solomon, Serengeti and Lysander exploration crews. Nook & Rook Property Solomon is pleased to announce that it has recently acquired by on-line staking 7 new contiguous claims in the Cariboo Mining District of BC. The Nook 1, 2, 3 & 4 and the Rook 1, 2 & 3 total 3,130 ha just south off Higheway 16 and roughly 40km east of Prince George. The Nook and Rook claims are a greenfields acquisition with potential for discovery of volcanic massive sulphide (VMS) and/or polymetallic vein style mineralization. The property is underlain by mineralized argillite and quartz-feldspar porphyry dacite rocks of the Mississippian Slide Mountain Terrane. The claims are reported to host: Copper-zinc mineralization in a potential Kuroko VMS setting;
A significant untested copper-zinc-silver geochemical soil anomaly ; and, Coincident regional stream geochemical anomalies (copper-zinc-lead-barium-gold). An initial phase work program of soil and stream sediment sampling and prospecting is currently underway.
This $50,000 work program is being funded using available flow-through funds raised earlier in 2007.
MONGOLIA
Zamtiin Gol Uranium Property
Solomon field crews have begun working on its 39,165 hectare Zamtiin Gol uranium prospect located in the Tarvagatayn Mountains of Arhangay Province in west-central Mongolia. Solomons geophysical crew will conduct a detailed GPS-controlled, combined auto-gamma-ray spectrometer (PICO GRS-2; 4 litre detector) and magnetometer grid survey of the entire property. Anomalous areas will be followed up with a program of auger soil sampling, mechanical trenching, sampling and geological mapping. Drilling, if warranted, is scheduled for September, 2007. To date Solomon has completed a total of 55 line-kilometres of preliminary truck-mounted spectrometer survey work ground-truthing historic Soviet-era airborne uranium anomalies located on the Zamtiin Gol property. Airborne uranium anomalies No. 450, 452, 449, 1268 and 1270 (OF Rpt 2433; 1979) are located within the licence area and rank amongst the strongest and most obvious in central Mongolia. The 2006 work substantiated the Soviet work by highlighting three areas as moderately to strongly anomalous (20 ppm U to a maximum of 80 ppm U). Three survey lines located over airborne Anomaly 450 outlined a roughly 300 metre by 120 metre area where a single soil sample returned 215 ppm uranium and 45.4 thorium (previously announced November 12, 2006). ONTARIO
Eyapamikama Lake Property
Solomon is pleased to report that it is continuing in its discussions with the community, Chief and Council of the Eyapamikama Lake area and the North Caribou Lake First Nation and our objective is to commence drilling by late summer.
